Before a single tile is laid, we flood test every wet room tray.
In this video, we’re testing a @schlutersystemsuk wet room tray by filling it with water and leaving it to stand. This simple process confirms that the tray, drain connection and waterproofing system are all performing exactly as they should before the final finish goes down.
Could we tile straight over it? Yes.
Do we prefer to know everything is 100% watertight first? Absolutely.
It’s one of those behind-the-scenes steps that nobody sees when the bathroom is finished, but it’s often the difference between doing a job and doing it properly.
Waterproofing isn’t the exciting part of a bathroom renovation, but it’s arguably the most important.
That’s why we use proven Schluter systems and take the time to test them before moving on to the next stage.

🚫 Our customer didn’t want spotlights…
Every bathroom project is different, and on this one the customer wanted to avoid traditional spotlights altogether.
The challenge was creating enough light in the room while keeping the ceiling as clean and simple as possible.
Our solution was a plaster-in LED detail, seamlessly integrated into the ceiling to provide both functional and ambient lighting without the need for downlights. We also installed a plaster-in extractor fan, ensuring the ventilation was taken care of without interrupting the minimalist design.
It’s a great example of how every project is tailored to the customer’s vision, finding practical solutions without compromising on style or performance.

A closer look at this bespoke porcelain sink, designed and constructed entirely on site 🤍
The structure was built using @schlutersystemsuk tile backer boards, creating a rigid, waterproof base before being clad in large-format porcelain. Every edge was mitred, resin filled and finished
Paired with wall-mounted brushed metal taps from @flova_uk and soft concrete-effect tiles from @simply_tiles this custom basin is all about precision, durability and clean design.
